STAGES OF CREATION:
The screenshot from "Where the Wild Things Are" I've chosen ^
I fell in love with this movie the first time I watched it as a kid. The visuals are sooo well composed to transmit the atmosphere to the viewer. This is why I picked a shot from this feature to recreate.
Stage 1: the shapes and the colors ^
First I needed to find the right colors and make an appliquelike sketch.
Stage 2: shades and details ^
Next - the hardest part, which is...well, painting. I tried to be as precise as I could so that no detail could escape my keen eye.
Stage 3: final result ^
A little bit of filters and Tadaaaaaa!
