This is the first piece that I’ve created from Goodtype’s Art Licensing class - the Art Licensing Blueprint. 

 

This design was created for Valentine’s Day and intended to be placed on a greeting card. It was inspired by design elements we saw in the 1800s and 1900s. Those elements included florals, vines, ribbons, symmetry, and type on curves. 

 

I started out with a hand drawn sketch to get the general layout right. I then moved the design into Procreate.
