Moon-viewing party(OTSUKIMI)
Otsukimi is a Japanese cultural tradition of viewing the beautiful autumn moon. People prepare silver grass and offerings to pray for happiness and good health for the year ahead.
A raw egg dropped into hot kakesoba (buckwheat noodles) is called "tsukimi soba" (moon-viewing soba), as the yolk of the egg is likened to the moon in the night sky.
