Persuasive Posters
Exploring concepts that affect 20-25 year old women, I found that there should be more awareness surrounding menstruation to educate and normalise the topic. The persuasive poster uses a menstrual cup to interest the women centred audience as it is a product that is not completely known about and definitely not regularly seen on grocery shelves. The cup is aimed to be a symbol for opening up the conversation on period care and well-being. Using colour, texture, shape and photography, I hoped to create one 'shocking' poster to jump start the period conversation and also one poster that promotes the uniting of women to celebrate and converse about menstruation. This persuasive poster is created to encourage people, especially women, to take a step in normalising the subject of periods.

I'd like to further delve into the sustainability concept and aspect of menstrual cups. I would like to utilise my own photography of the nature that surrounds South-East Queensland to appeal this issue to a more direct audience. Photography as a medium would allow me to document and show the reality of how a menstrual cup could help protect the beautiful nature that is grounded in the audience's reality.
