Bulgarian Folktales challenge is an art challenge I created back in 2020 together with Gergana Boeva. Every March we invite other artists to join us in creating art inspired by topics from the Bulgarian and Slavic Folklores.

I wanted to create a different version of the well known character, so I drew her more as a wise woman, one with nature. I also tried to show her two-sided character by painting her face in two different shades - warm and cold one.
