New Balance 2002R "Rain Cloud"
DECONSTRUCT TO REDESIGN ®
This three-piece sneaker capsule is made up of three muted colorways dubbed “Rain Cloud”, “Phantom” and “Sea Salt” which adorns a 2002R like no other. Roughly cut suede paneling features on the upper and is layered to create a rough and deconstructed look, all of which sits atop the classic ABZORB midsole and N-ergy outsole.
An open foam tongue further enhances the sneaker’s deconstructed vibe, while leather detailing on the heel and premium textile lining makes the 2002R “Protection Pack” as comfy as it is unique.

« While growing up, I used to buy sneakers and I wanted them to stay super clean. If the shoe is clean, out of the box, I prefer to keep it that way. But what we tried to do with this one is set a precedent to encourage people to wear them. It's not a collector's item. It's just a shoe. You can wear them,
and you should wear them.
Also, the whole look, the way we did it, is very much inspired by older people in Boston. I saw a lot of old ladies and gentlemen wearing the 993 from the factory store. Torn up, but still in working order. »
