To learn about design it is common practice to copy the style of other master artist and brake down the concepts and techniques used by them to better understand why they work. In the tradition of copying a master artist we used the template of an album cover from a band of our choosing and applied the style of a famous artist or designer to recreate one of their works of art. In this project I decided to go with one of my personal favorite bands, Queens of the StoneAge, and a designer that has in the past influenced my work for graphic design, Saul Bass. Through imitation of Saul Bass’s work, we can closely study and evaluate the artist work.
