DC Comics
Multimedia Campaign
Challenge:
Comic readership and sales are down. DC needs to revitalize interest in comics, and stimulate adult interest in the comic industry.

Action:
Comic readers usually have a favorite villain. They are pivotal in developing the superhero characters and an overall cohesive story. There can be no protagonist without an antagonist. To differentiate DC Comics, the focus needed to switch from the heroes to the villains. It should inspire the audience to embrace the dark side of the DC Universe.

Reasoning:
The world is not split into good and evil. They are mirrors of each other. To have a Superhero is to have a Supervillain. Superheroes would be useless without their black-hearted counterparts. They create the context of the story, drive the action and test the morals of the heroes. They form the stage, on which the characters develop.
