STORYBOARD DESIGN FOR E-LEARNING
The flow of the storyboards was planned to effectively communicate all the datasurveysstatistics and academic content to enhance learning for the student.
The academic content was broken up into smaller sections and animated visuals such as images, illustrations, logosgraphics and text along with voiceover were added to make the content more engaging and establish a more cognitive connection with the student.
We also planned video shoots with live tutors who were brought on board to record demonstrations for practical videos, introduction to the modules, introduction to the learning objectives of each module as well as for conclusions

*** At the time of building the storyboards, the video shoots were still WIP, hence stock photos have been used instead to imply the same.
** Some of the frames on the storyboards were left blank because the team was yet to be cleared for copyrights on certain images/video footage pulled from internet sources.

Course title: History of Retail Timeline
Goal: Upon completion of this course, the learner will demonstrate an understanding of the evolution of retail.
Learning Objective: To establish an understanding of how marketing and retail has evolved over a thousand years, how each milestone contributes to the significance of the evolution, and factors responsible for change so the learner is aware of best practices and history of retail and can apply this knowledge going forward in his/her own career.

For frame #12 the academic content refers to trading and barter system in the Stone Age Era.
I decided to get an illustration made to simplify the barter system and the various commodities that could be exchanged in this process in one single visual. I focused only on hands and the tools in the graphic to simplify the message and focus on showcasing the "process" only.

The student makes an instant connection with this "process" along with the supported audio voiceover.
For Frame #67 I used a timeline of all the various important milestones along with graphics to clearly articulate the retail timeline in a graphical approach.

This illustration was planned to be used for each of the frames that introduces a new date and milestone on the timeline. The idea for all such frames was to zoom into the illustration and highlight ( using emphasis in animation) each rectangle as the audio introduces the DATE
