All of the images seen below are created with Sakura micron pens and colored pencil. No erasing! 

I start with a pen sketch and gradually build up shapes. Then I refine some of the linework further and add thicker lines, shading, etc. When I have a good template, then I fill it in with colored pencils. If needed, I go back over some of the ink lines to help them pop through the layers of colored pencils.
