An adaption of the House of Cards by Charles and Ray Eames, I designed my own set of cards based on a theme I strongly resonate with.

I created House of Hope, cards that help you deal with anxiety in a positive way. They contain a set of questions and reminders that act as a guide when you experience anxiety and wish to deal with it in a safe manner. They are framed in a way that help you address your emotion rather than denying it or running away from it.

Design

For the visual design, I chose a typographic approach, using my handwriting to depict changes in the state of mind, from anxious to calm. I integrated simple but metaphoric photographs along with the handwritten text, developing a common theme for the design, while using my own journaling notes as the background. I chose a variety of colors to keep the communication sincere but light at the same time.
Process

Along with the help of my mentor, I developed the project from scratch, starting with the ideation, crafting the content, developing the design, to the printing and packaging of the cards. It took several months for the idea to come to life, but when it did, I was proud for creating House of Hope.
