The Lightbox Project is a new Irish fusion band. To really understand, you have to listen to their debut single (linked below).

"We are Irish musicians that are really close mates and are making some totally fresh, new music. You might know of the lightbox in Newgrange where the sun, at the right moment, lights up the chamber inside, making it seem like the sun is standing still momentarily. It would generally be associated with marking the Winter Solstice, regeneration and rebirth. We formed the band last year. We were all so busy with our lives before Covid-19 hit, that we mightn't have ever gotten the opportunity to do this together, only for the pandemic happening, so we took the opportunity to form this band.

With the year we have all had, we decided to derive some association between the earth being somewhat still, giving all of us friends an opportunity of coming together to create something new. We are trying to relate the lightbox to this time really, something positive coming out of this all - the darkness in the chamber being illuminated. Positive times ahead, industries coming back and all that."
