This project is the video background for a lyric video. The client is a local metal band from Cluj-Napoca named "She wolf". They wanted an illustration for one of their songs "Cenusiu" (Gray). It had to show their symbol, the wolf, while depicting the wild spirit tamed and stuck into the everyday shallowness and routine of civilization.
I tried to make the image believable by showing the wolf alone and tied with roots, to make the viewer empathize with it and feel that he's stuck and something powerful keeps pushing him back.
It is painted in black and white rather then color, because I considered that it will better reflect the mood and name of the song.
The illustration is made in Adobe Photoshop, using a Xp Pen pressure tablet
