Final Year Project - Not Your Typival Poverty
The polemic of poverty naturally revolves around the aspect of "belly filling", which is to ensure that there is always food for those concerned, however, there is another aspect that probably rarely comes to mind most of us, namely how poverty affects adolescent or adult women in managing their menstruation. . Have we ever wondered how women living in a state of deprivation manage the “coming of the moon” aspect, which may be considered trivial and taboo among some people of society? Did we know that there are female students in this Malaysian who are willing to skip school simply because they are uncomfortable and embarrassed every coming month because they cannot afford to buy sanitary napkins which for them are a luxury item? Don't 'close your eyes' to the issue of menstrual poverty so that efforts can be made to address the issue.
