"I Wish I Were Afraid of Monsters" is a menswear collection that's being developed for my senior thesis. Inspiration began with my nephew buttoning his button-up wrong one day. That "mistake" was visually pleasing to my eye, but incorrect to the eyes of society. From there I began to play with the idea of a little boy playing dress up in his dad's sweater or in his mom's sequin dress. The prints are a homage to all of the things my nephew fears and the very same things I wish could still put fear into my heart.
