“One who wants to wear the crown, must bear the crown”

In Greek mythology, the symbol of the Leo is said to have been based off of the Nemean Lion as slain by the Greek hero Hercules, while in Egyptian culture, the people worshipped the constellation which they referred to as “Knem”. It was said that Knem was present during the flooding of the Nile River, an event that signified a bountiful harvest gifted from the earth.

Tutankhamun’s golden throne features lion heads, where the seat and front legs meet, and clawed feet at the end of each leg. It is said that the lion symbolized royalty and power.
