I chose trilobites as inspiration given by natural forms. Trilobites are extinct primitive crustaceans, which existed on Earth in many forms. I created the vector patterns in Illustrator, then experimented with different materials using a laser cutter. I chose the cactus skin, polyester and linen for the material.
