A Product Sourcing Agent

I was assigned the task of sourcing a product XYZ at the best price lower than $10 per unit. best quality product with customized packaging.

I started working on this project. First of all, I did a complete competitor analysis and found out what people like about this product and what they dislike. After that, I found gold suppliers on Alibaba with trade assurance and verified supplier badges with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing this product. Then I communicated with seven suppliers and short-listed the three best ones among them. Then I placed an order for samples. Within 10 days, I got samples from the suppliers, and then I deeply analyzed the product samples from each supplier. Finally, I selected one product to the satisfaction of my client. After that, I communicated with the supplier about the features I wanted to add to the product. I also discussed the points about the product on which I want special improvements. I mentioned all these things in the contract with the supplier. I also negotiated the price and lowered it to $5.15/unit. Then we placed an order for 1500 units. My client paid 30% of the total amount according to the contract. After 12 days, our order was ready. We hired the inspection team from Qima.com for an inspection of our inventory. The team checked the inventory according to our requirements and passed it. Then my client paid the remaining 70% of the payment to the supplier and shipped his inventory to Amazon Wearhouse in the USA. My client was very happy with me. He paid me my fee of $250+ $50 tip. It was a very good experience to work with that client. I am still in contact with that supplier and am helping him manage his Amazon seller central.
