Well being a travel enthusiast myself I know how much one aches to pack a back and travel to some place distant. Traveling is an emotion that can't be captured in few words but then again there are few words that capture the essence of a traveller to the t.
Here's the first word for your travel dictionary.
Fernweh - Wanderer who aches for distant place or has a strong desire to travel.
Travelling by foot is always exciting. You notice things that go amiss in a rushing car. Be it the tiny little wallflower, or a little bird hidden in the bough.
So here's the next word for those who love to travel by foot - Wayfarer.
We cross paths. Some are strangers. Some are known faces. We don't know them. We don't talk to them. Their stories are unknown to us. Each one has a separate world oblivious to the other. And yet, it is these unknown stories of the strangers that makes Sonder another beautiful word.
Another beautiful word with a beautiful meaning. The rush hour and the rat race evokes that urge to pack out bags and leave for ab unknown destination. And this feeling is encapsulated in this word, Eleutheromania, beautifully.
In the midst of the fight between the sea person and mountain person, we forget there are some who love the wilderness. Here's a word to celebrate them - Nemophile.
One of the beautiful words I came across. Morii is something we all feel when our camera fails to take the proper picture of a moonlit night by the sea side or those blue mountain ranges against the clear blue sky.
Morii - Desire to capture fleeting moments.
