The Lakota Language Consortium (LLC), founded in 2004, continues to focus on revitalization and preservation efforts of the Lakota language, Lakȟótiyapi. Educational materials produced by LLC are directly informed by native speakers, and the organization has a native-led executive board with Wilhelm Meya as the Executive Director, a language revitalization expert.
