CHIRATH
Chirath; a small lamp used in old households and temples, Just like a lamp which gets flickered, dimmed or brightened the lives of people are never consistent.
Chirath is a modern adaptation of the Kerala folklore: Kuruvan and Kurathi. The story is led through the life of a female, a wife Kaavi, whose happy life gets twisted after an unexpected incident takes place in her life. This story emphasises the perspective of an ordinary woman who goes through the hardships faced by women through the social evils prevailing in our society.
The colour palettes followed resonates with the emotions of the character from subtle to anger. An attempt of character exploration is present throughout the movie. How she moulds, develops, diminishes facing the raw realities in life.
