I was asked to create characters on a huge lollipop in middle, remaining I was given choice to make and mold artwork of my personal preference. Client demanded simple style so I went for cute adventure time style 🙂

Process:
Canvas Measurements : 2500 x 3000 px (so i got huge space for attaching references)
Layers include : sketch layer, line art layer, flat color layer, shades on multiply mode, overlay layer on lighten mode
Brushes used : G pen, airbrush for lightning affect in background & paint brush for making shade curves
Study the style : look for shapes used in the art style & study the line work & textures
References: attach as many references you want to create easiness for your self, extract suitable color palette & perspectives, elements, poses etc.
