A poster design for the internationally-acclaimed opera, Madame Butterfly. I shot the photo of the cover image in a studio and the butterfly on the model’s back was hand-drawn using lipstick.

 

The poster title was created by an exploration process of cutting a print of the title using an Xacto knife and rescanning it. The process was then repeated to achieve the desired result.
