LUKE 1977 Trims & Branding Developments

Below are just some of the huge amount of different trims and branding developments I worked on while working for Luke 1977.
 Luke Roper Rebrand
Below you can see some of the trims I developed for the Luke Roper Rebrand.
Luke tasked me with rebranding the whole of the Luke Roper range to match the same style we were using on the Luke range so that everything was consistent. Above you can see the various trims I developed. From top left: Back neck label, Trouser label, Trouser Size label, collar labels x 3, Swing ticket, Button box, Kimble, Trim tape.
Luke Sport Brand Development
I was tasked with developing the Luke Sport brand completely from the ground up in order to replace our Luke roper golf range. This means I had to decide on the colour scheme, logo and pretty much the whole style of the brand. I kept it pretty simple as I wanted to keep consistent with the rest of the brand areas but I was happy with the final outcome. This is now being used as a new sales area for the company in future.
I decided early on that green was the route I wanted to go down as it is quite synonymous with sport itself. This area I understood was going to encompass all areas of sport not just golf so I had to try and veer away from making it too golf focused. i also had to try and avoid looking too similar to other sports brands (you can see the boss logo in the bottom left to remind me to stay away from this style).
Above you can see many of the trims I developed for the Luke Sport area. Top left: Luke Sport embroidery, Kimble, Back neck label, Trouser label, Pitch Repairer, Trouser Size label, Button Box, Swing ticket combination, Trim Tape, Elastic tape.
Above is a pitch repairer we developed that will come with all Luke Sport garments sold. I had to change the ball markers colour that come with it though as we quickly realised green may be quite hard to see on the grass!
Luke Denim Shelf Talker
The first branded piece I worked on that I actually received in the flesh was the Luke Denim shelf talker you can see below. I was very pleased with the quality of how the original turned out but due to it being too expensive the people in charge decided to replace it with a lower quality cardboard one.
I wasn't overly pleased with this but such is life.
A comparison of the original versus the cheaper carboard one. I liked how the original held the edges and could be repeatedly used.
The cardboard one being used in store. Note the flaying edges etc. this wouldn't of happened with the original one :(.
Luke Shoe Sole Design
One of the next things I worked on was a shoe sole design while the bosses were away in Hong kong. It had to be done while they were away so it ended up me churning out a load of different designs and emailing them across to try and determine what sort of route to go down. Below is some stages of the design.
Some initial ideas I sent across.
This was the idea they liked best and i had to send it across in full detail
This was how the final shoe sole turned out. It went through some late adjustments but I was very happy with how it eventually turned out.
Trainer Tongue Label
On the subject of shoes, I also developed a Luke trainer label that is used on pretty much all of our trainers.
We also developed a white label that better suited some coloured trainers.
Shoe Box Paper
We went as far with the branding as to even develop our own style of shoebox paper.
This attention to detail I felt really enforced the impact of the brand.
Shoe Box Sticker
Below is a sticker i developed to go on our new shoeboxes as the old one looked dated. the new one had to fit in well with the rest of the box, be practical and easy to read. i think I achieved all 3 of these goals.
This was the sticker to be replaced.
My artwork.
The final sticker on the new shoebox.
LUKE DENIM POLYBAG STICKER
Below is a sticker i designed that comes on the bag of all Luke Denim product deliveries.
Trouser Fit Labels
Below is some trouser labels I developed for both the Luke Denim are and the Luke are that comes attached to the garment to show the customer the exact fit of the jean!
LRGO Rubber Patch
Below is a rubber patch I developed for the LRGO range. We actually had 10, 000 of these made and one was going to come on every product but then the people in charge decided to scrap this idea and compeltely rebrand the LRGO range to Luke Sport. However I was happy with how it turned out so decided to show it here.
Additional LRGO developments
Below is a golfball kimble and zip puller that we developed that were going to be used on the LRGO range which as you read was rebranded. Therefore these never ended up getting used however we luckily didn't order 10,000 of these!
For Emergency Use Only Pocket Label
Below is a label we developed for inner jacket pockets that were to be used only in emergencies!
This is now used on many of our jackets as a highlight source of colour on the normally black inside of the jacket.
New Zip Development
Below are some images of a new Luke Zip I put into developement.
The zip rope ended up being a striped combination of gold and black as requested by Luke.
Buttons
When I first started, I was tasked with developing a variety of buttons.
Below you can see some of the developments i went through.
All the above buttons were eventually developed and used on garments in a wide variety of colours and sizes!
Ski Goggles
Working at Luke I never knew what I'd be working on next. Below you can see some artwork I created for a pair of ski goggles we were making that were going to accompany a jacket we were producing. The goggles turned out really well andI was very ahppy with the final result.
Umbrellas
Below is some artwork and images of some umbrellas I developed while working at Luke.
They turned out really nice and are  soon to go on sale!
