The Challenge

"Next year, I will row 310 miles along the South Coast. My current left arm sports prosthesis has a passive elbow and is too heavy.

However, the thought of rowing that distance with my right arm only fills me with dread, as it would undoubtedly result in skin problems or worse, more surgery."

Row-Pro Assist
Those with quadruple limb loss are at risk of drowning when falling into the water. This design aids the rowing experience and provides security in case of an emergency.

Buoyancy
The Row-pro assist utilises lightweight, waterproof materials to provide optimum buoyancy and protection for the wearer and keeps the head above water in the event of a capsize.
Comfort
In addition to using soft, thin and padded materials to improve comfort and reduce bulk, the row pro assist offers an all in one buoyancy/support solution that works with the user’s movements to redistribute force from high impact areas, reducing friction with the skin.
Performance
The Row-pro assist features an adjustable resistance band that utilises the pivotal motion of rowing to optimise input force, reducing the amount of pull required by user.
Safety
Rocking movements are reduced due to the encouraged smoother motion achieved whilst using the Row-pro assist. This keeps the user balanaced, lessening the chance of capsizing and the risk of injury.
