Christchurch School of Gymnastics

BRIEF
The Event Director was wanting a very dynamic look to their 2012 Classic Competition poster. The athlete here is representing New Zealand Gymnastics. To coincide with her movement I wanted to add the effect of moving shapes to link with her movement and body shape.Using photoshop layers and transparency effects,
I included vector images with cutting edged shapes. Compared to other years, this has moved away from a futuristic style and projected a more contemporary look - a look that involves a feeling of dance and spirit.

PRODUCTION
• Liaising with Event Director for initial body text and details, changes, proofing & sign off.
• Mac, Indesign and Photoshop CS5.5
• Final pre-pressed pdf sent to the client and then sent to their preferred printer.

OUTCOME
I design the posters for CSG annually, and the response is  always positive and the poster is well sought after. Each year  the competitor who has featured on the front of the poster  has bought a poster for themselves and their families. The posters all hang in the administration foyer at CSG. I thought this campaign came across powerful and circles have interpreted a sense of movement and freedom. Over the years the posters have set
a branding standard for this non profit organisation.
