Tbilisi Metro Map
This is the metro network of Georgias capital Tbilisi. It is a small network with two lines which connect at the central station Station Square. There has never really been a nice map for this small network. Given the simplicity of it one might think it is redundant. In my opinion, however, it is long overdue to design a nice looking and maybe to some people useful map. After all, this network exists since 1966 and was extended many times.
My idea is a minimalistic poster like map that contains as little as necessary information as possible. I wanted to include only station names in both scripts – Georgian and Latin – so that everyone can read it. I also tried to stay close to the actual geographical shape of the lines and the shape of the river.
