"The Lauren Pinnacle" - a proposed women's footwear brand that is a tier above "Lauren" footwear, for it's high quality materials. This board includes my initial sketches, inspiration for my collection, and proposed materials.

The following three boards, including this one, showcases my idea of the "Lauren Pinnacle." Each board is organized the same: the top row includes the basic details of the shoe beneath it; this explains the last type, height, name of the shoe and last, as well as the materials used. The second row portrays a flat sketch of the shoe with two colorways. The bottom row presents hand-drawn renderings of how I, myself, see the product on display, materials and all.

This image was taken of me during the first of two rounds of the Ralph Lauren Creative Intern Competition.

I made round two! This was during my presentation in front of Jerry Lauren, Ralph Lauren's brother. (He called me cute!!)

Unfortunately I did not win, but I am proud to say I made top 10 in the Creative Project Competition. I had the most amazing summer interning at Ralph Lauren. Not only did I get to explore New York, a city I've never been to by myself, I had the honor of meeting and presenting to important, inspirational people and know that I was one of the youngest interns there who had accomplished a lot. I worked closely with the Senior Designer of Lauren footwear, saw how it truely feels to be a designer in real life, made new connections, inspired my peers and the kids I volunteered for, and really found the confidence in myself that I needed!
