These are some of the tracks I've written for Atius, a fantasy Adventure-RPG about a girl who must combat ancient gods. I am filling the roles of composer and lead writer for the project. Since the setting is a brooding, mystical island, I tried to stick mostly to orchestral and tribal instrumentation, with some electronic effects.
While this was originally composed as calm overworld music, it might also work as a main menu theme.
The fight music for the game's first boss fight, the now-insane goddess of wisdom. The encounter is frenzied, threatening, and unstable, so I did my best to reflect that in the score.
Though still a work in progress, this track will play in the dungeon-like cave that serves as Wisdom's lair. I wanted to create several levels of intensity, which would transition from one to the next as the player navigates the level.
Unused Tracks
Written as general overworld music, to fade in when the player starts exploring the game's island. However, due to concerns that it might be too melodic for what the leads are looking for, it has been put on the backburner.
More early overworld music. I knew as I was writing it that would be too positive and would contradict the game's intended mood. That said, it proved to be an excellent example of a dynamic track that could be layered in-game.
This was the first track I wrote for this project. At the time all I knew was that it would be a fantasy RPG. When we started to iron out the actual scenario, it quickly became apparent that I should aim for something darker and more atmospheric.
