I was tasked to design five-screens of an app that uses calculations in some way. Rather than just a calculator, this app is meant to be relatable and solve a real life scenario with the use of a calculator feature. After identifying an activity that would benefit from a specialized calculator app, I conducted research and usability testing to help me design an app interface that was creative and functional for my audience.

I chose to design a travel budgeting app which I called Vacay Stash. I wanted my app to be able to calculate how much money a person would need to save and how long it might take them to save for a vacation based on the info they input such as how much the trip will cost and when the trip is scheduled to happen.

This app stands apart from the competition because it creates a personalized savings plan for the user while being simple and easy to use. In the Travel Vacay app the user can budget for the obvious expenses such as flights and hotels as well as the small things like attraction tickets and souvenirs. Forgot to budget for an item? No problem, adding items and editing the budget is simple and can happen anytime, anywhere. The app will create a personalized breakdown of savings, progress, and time left to save. It is an easy and fun way to keep your vacation savings on track
