Bill Schuette for Attorney General

No one has ever sought the office of Attorney General of Michigan with the background and experience of Bill Schuette. In 1984 he was elected to Congress. In 1990 he was the Republican nominee for United States Senator. He served as Director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture for Governor John Engler. And he was elected to the Michigan State Senate and the Michigan Court of Appeals. Now in 2010 Bill was running to be Michigan’s Top Cop.

The contrast between Bill Schuette and his opponent, DavidLeyton, couldn’t be clearer. Schuette was a law and order conservative who would put safety first. Leyton was a local prosecutor known as the Plea Deal King, who gave reckless deals to violent criminals. Our advertising for thecampaign was very focused and very direct.

Schuette won on Election Day by a historic margin and Michigan will have a safer future because of it.
