Fashion Photoshoot Concept
The idea behind this project was to create a fashion photoshoot concept and create mood boards for the style, location, and makeup. I wanted my idea to be clear and properly showcased in these mood boards so that a  photographer, make up artist, or designer could clearly see the vision.
This is the social issue I will be highlighting in this photoshoot concept. I created this mood board to display the message I wanted to convey.
I wanted to focus on a social issue that was personal to me and use it as inspiration for a powerful photoshoot. As part of the LGBTQ+ community and having many friends and family  in this community as well, I felt this was a great choice for inspiration. This mood board above shows the parades and citizens advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. While this community has come far from where they were, there is so much more that needs to be accomplished.
This is the style concept for the photoshoot. The LGBTQ+ community is known for the rainbow colors used on their flag, so I wanted to have a very colorful and vibrant clothing style.
Makeup is a very important part of photoshoots and is used a lot in the LGBTQ+ community to express emotions and beliefs. I wanted to use a colorful palette for eyeshadows and eyeliners to enhance the overall look.
I really wanted to focus on the bright and colorful aspects that are associated with the LGBTQ+ community. Neon, electric, bright, & wild were the words that came to my mind when I created this concept. Not only did I want the clothes to be colorful and bright, but the makeup as well. I did not want a single part of this photoshoot to be dull. Models for this shoot could be anyone. I would like there to be models from all types of backgrounds and of different race, gender identity ,sexual orientation, & different body types.
This is the location mood board. Many of these images were taken by me as I scouted for locations throughout Memphis, TN.
This mood board is for the location. These are mostly images that I took while driving around Memphis and scouting locations. I again chose bright and neon colors for the background to bring in more color to the images. I wish we had been able to actually execute this photoshoot. This was in the height of the pandemic and our professor advised us not to do so. However, I have kept this mood boards in hopes to use them for this concept one day!
