Posters for the Ashwas Water Suvey

Client: Arghyam
2009

The Ashwas survey contained data related to health and sanitation of 800 villages of 178 Gram Panchayats in Karnataka and was facilitated by an NGO named Arghyam. The task was to translate this massive set of data into simple understandable visuals. The aim was to design a template for a set of posters based on the given data so that it could be sent back to the villagers whom this data was collected from.

These are a set of posters where the idea is to have a big graphic that best represents the data taking up a large space, so that one can recognise what it is about even from a distance. The tag line is almost like a statement/plea from the citizens stating their problem. At the bottom are the related statistics and a short note on reasons why they should do certain things like boil their water, wash their hands etc.
