Koalas are an iconic species that only grow on Australian soil. They live high up in native bush and forest eucalyptus trees, usually perched at the fork of a branch. To make people more aware of koalas, I used various types of eucalyptus leaves, as eucalyptus is the food of koalas. I also used the national flower of Australia to indicate that koalas are from Australia. When the bark of the rainbow eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta) sheds,
it reveals a neon green inner layer. Over time, as this layer is exposed to the air, it ages into different colors - bright reds, oranges, blues, pinks and purples
