Honey bees, both wild and farmed, pollinate nearly 80% of the world's crops. Every day, a single bee colony may pollinate 300 million flowers. Pollination of grains is mostly performed by the wind, although bees pollinate fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Bees pollinate 70 of the top 100 human food crops, which provide around 90 percent of the world's nourishment.
