I was asked to create illustrations which would inspire a spirit of patriotic fever among the youth and re create that feeling of passionate love we felt for our country, when a nationalistic song would drive people to action. I felt people needed to connect with those icons of our culture and history who were responsible for such brilliant feats, like Jinnah, Noor Jehan, national songs written by Jamil-ud-din Aali etc.
