Katharina Aigner's profile

Rebranding Louis Vuitton

For my project Katharina Aigner x Louis Vuitton we got a fictual job of a brand we chose ourself. In my case I imagined Louis Vuitton, an important, high quality fashion and accessories brand, would instruct me to do a complete new rebranding for their logotype.
I decided to do the rebranding in an old gothical style font, as the company was founded
in the 19. century.

After creating the logo I tried not to lose LV’s style and the brand's signature look.
That’s why I stayed with the typical yellowish tangerine-orange for the packaging. Also their signature pattern was customized for my rebranding.

SKETCHES
I started the design process of this project with easy sketches which led to a whole alphabet in minuscules of my gothical font. After deciding which brand I want to design my rebranding for, I started with the letters I need and also with the initials. I did this project with parallel pen, a calligraphy pen especially for letter like these.

After I finished the logo I started digitalizing it. I worked with Adobe Illustrator. In the digitalization process I did the different kinds of the logo and also played with the letters. My final logo is seeable below.
