University project: Spotlight mockup app

This third year design project was done for a Experience Design paper at Massey in which the aim was to further improve upon a mock clients brand/store. We were given Spotlight as a pretend client. The deliverable we came up with was to help with this was a mockup for an app. This app focused on connecting and inspiring shoppers and further helped them learn craft. Overview of pages: Personal Profile (image 1 and 2): Here users can customise their own profile to their individual needs. This is place to find other creative people that share your interests and be inspired by their profiles. This personalised page aims to create a community and inspire others. Instore Workshop (page 2 and 3) Spotlight could offer in-store classes on a variety of home and craft topics. These classes would give customers an opportunity to learn new skills that will inspire them to use their Spotlight products in a more creative ways. This would upgrade their retail offering to a transformational learning and social experience. Ask an Expert (iamge 4 and 5) A dedicated online forum creates a space for two-way dialogue between keen crafters and also staff members. This will transform Spotlight from just offering products to offering personalised advice on one to one basis.
