This is one of my favorite characters from Star Wars, I saw him as a kid in the Clone Wars TV show and I loved it.
I started it as a sphere in ZBrush and went from there, I made the torso from that spherical canvas and it took me a few hours to make it look like Darth Maul from the prequels, I used the cartoons and The Phantom Menace as references. The legs were made in 3ds Max, were I have more experience with hard surfaces. Texturies were also made with Substance Painter. I made the renders in Marmoset.
