Quilt Campaign Concept

While working with the Fundraising and Global Communications team, we brainstormed ways Individual Givers could feel connected to PSI's message and new branding.
How can we engage our audience without monopolizing any one group? How can we make a thoughtful impression while staying true to the brand? How do we explain that Global Health is Local Health? Below is my pitch for one such solution.

Long ago, quilts were sewn to support funds for abolitionists. Quilting women strengthened their communities and their cause with every stitch. Today, the PSI community spans miles and nations. So how do we piece together our shared humanity?

A digital quilt. In this concept, those who donate to PSI would select a "quilt tile" - the tiles we know as PSI's brand elements - and submit a photo of themselves or their home and PSI's Communications Team would digitize a global quilt to share on social media channels and print advertisement. The "quilts" would change each quarter, and be compiled to be included in end of year campaigns and the annual report. Together, we weave a greater impact; all of our colors, cultures and skills sewn together provide warmth and hope that Sara and Sam can take and utilize when they need it. What’s more, quilts are passed down generation to generation, further connecting families as they merge and grow. Just like PSI’s impact, Sara can pass on her knowledge and tools to her community. And so our quilt grows larger.
