I scaled down and recreated the Arkansas State University HOWL statue using 14g wire, yarn, and Poly-fil. After forming the wire base and attaching the individual foot-long depth pieces using yarn and super glue, I crocheted the black outer panels directly onto the frame. Next came the red-facing panels, which I crocheted directly onto the frame, stuffing with Poly-fil once after completing a single face. Each letter took roughly a week to create, maximizing my time by working on it at home, during downtime at work, and during morning and evening commutes.

Below is the original HOWL statue from campus. Each letter is roughly 2' tall x 2' deep and varying widths, with my recreation measuring half size.
