(Marni x Planar)
The project is to design an exhibition space for the collaboration space for the collaboration of Marni, an Italian fashion house with experimental approach to materials and colors, and a unique flair for mixing prints and shapes. and Planar Systems, a digital & signage manufacturing corporation. Located at APW Bangsar, the project is in The Bindery which is an industrial style events hall with a total area of 4,144 sq. ft. The area of the project is to create an exhibition focusing on both fashion and technology, and how both relates to one another through its collaboration.
clothing display & interactive display
The concept comes from two keywords derived from Marni's style which are deconstructed and abstract as these elements are found a lot in their designs. Inspired from their patchworking designs, it is then deconstructed into simplified abstract shapes, as each surface of the shapes are transformed into a unified form. The two keywords are blended together to form the  concept which is reminiscent of Marni's experimental design process of combining many different elements into one unique piece in their collection. This exhibition is to share the essence of Marni and their creativity to the public which is full of imagination, vivid colours and materials.
