Clorox Case Competition

In the summer of 2020, I was chosen as an intern for the MADE Internship Program (Marketing & Advertising Education) Program, developed through the ANA (Association of National Advertisers) in partnership with The Clorox Company. This was the first Sales and Marketing Case Competition for Clorox and the ANA. 150 undergraduate students were selected as MADE interns and we attended virtual presentations by experts at The Clorox Company and worked together in teams of 5 to develop product innovations and pitches. Each team was assigned a brand to research and from there we had to design a product and the marketing around that product. 

There were 2 rounds, with the first round including all 30 teams of 5, followed by an elimination leaving only 3 teams to advance to the finals. Our team advanced to the finals. I worked alongside talented marketing and business minded individuals. I was the designer of the group, with the primary role of creating our product's branding and prototype to present before the experts from The Clorox Company.

My team members and I met for hours each day, sharing our research, generating ideas, fact checking, preparing our pitches, and practicing our scripts. We worked with a mentor from the Clorox team and analyzed sales data for our assigned brands and retailers.
