Wilhelm K. Meya has multiple degrees from Oglala Lakota College, the University of Arizona, and Indiana University. He was raised in Connecticut and born in Vienna, Austria. Mr. Meya’s nonprofit organization, The Language Conservancy, is a chief promoter of worldwide action for protecting languages and preserving cultures. Wilhelm Meya has collaborated with renowned linguist, Jan Ulrich in a number of projects that would culminate in Lakota Language Consortium.
