The Lakota Language Consortium (LLC) is focused on creating language learning materials and training teachers in its proprietary language-learning methods. The non-profit is committed to the promotion of positive language revitalization and building community around a common goal—to preserve Lakȟótiyapi. LLC integrates contextual learning and grammar into its new, effective language acquisition practices. The organization has distributed 40,000+ textbooks since it was established in 2004.
