Tiefling Character
My first character animation that involved the animating and modelling of a 3D character I designed and developed. This animation was built and animated through 3Ds max.
I am staring this display of work with some still renders from the final animation, I chose to show a render of the character moving and another of a bit of the environment before the character is seen. To give a idea on the setting.

Character development
Female character designs- In the development stages of developing the character I also chose to work on a female varient while exploring a range of different appearances to see how it could be developed further.
Male character designs- I did the same with the male varient of the characters while having an idea of the appearance that I would go with in the end, I also played around with different facial features that could be used instead of the original idea even if i chose to make a small change to the design before bringing it forward onto the modeling stage.
Non-organic character designs- when designing the non-organic characters I already had a strong idea on the direction that the characters was going to go in with between a hunter or a mage style. For this I designed a variety of bows and staffs that I could bring forwards after seeing what style works the best for the final character model.
Character sheets
Before bringing the characters onto 3Ds max to model them character sheets were required to help make sure the modeling process was smoother and everything lined up as they should have. These where drawn both on A3 which allowed more room to get the drawings down on while keeping everything clear.

Final animation
The final animation for this character design. Everything was modelled and animated on 3Ds max and edited further on adobe after effects.
Some of the textures where tweeked further on adobe photoshop to change the colours of some of the buildings to allow more variety to be done without having loads of different texutres being saved with each individual map. The environment was based on a medieval village as during the research stage I found their layouts very interesting along with the over building structures with having all the support beakens on the outside of the structure instead of them being hidden amoung the walls. The animation was put together on adobe after effects after all the scenes were rendered out, The sound effects where also placed into teh animation through after effects which was helpful getting the sound effect to be heard at the exact time needed.
