Apparel: Threads of Ladakh

A two-piece garment inspired by the traditional garment of the women of Ladakh. The idea was to simplify the garment and give it a modern twist. 
The garment can be worn in five different ways; as a skirt and cape, variations of the skirt and a top.

The skirt can be worn from the pink side as well

The cape can be worn as a skirt by using the hooks stiched on the inside of the cape, whereas the skirt can become a top using the same technique
Applique detail inspired by Sapta Rasa by S H Raza. This particular painting was chosen keeping in mind the geometric paterns the women sometimes have on their belts.
