Chapel Re-Design Perspective Facing North
The linear groups of wooden columns with recessed lighting inside not only emphasized the concept of Stablity we were going for, but it also allowed for a unique wayfinding experience through lighting.
Our second concept explored the balance of  "Fragility within Stability" through the creation of a custom ceiling installation that would suspend two linear planes linked together by strategically placed Kablelight wiring.
To provide the client with a variety of options our Fibers team member, Carly Neil, created custom textile cushions samples that would add a sense of depth and warmth to the healing environment of the space if the client preferred to do so.
A second ceiling installation option would replace the existing Kablight Satin nickel wiring with a more fibrous installation using the materials pictured above.
North Perspective showing collaboration of both concepts
Created in Revit Architecture

NOTE:  The client's final re-design decision is not known.
So this proposal remains in an unrealized conceptual state.
