The story tells us about the kindness and braveness of little Mouse, who overcame her fear of the dark winter woods and saved a trapped Deer from the net. The Deer, suddenly, turned out to be a keeper of the starry sky, so in honor for his salvation he blessed Mouse with a gift - the Magic Star, to keep her safe in the darkness.
