Boop-a-Bird

Boop-a-Bird is an interactive feather bird lamp, equipped with three diverse color modes. The capacitive touch sensor at the end of the bird's 3D printed beak enables users to turn on the light by simply tapping or "booping" the beak. The Arduino programmed LEDs within the feathered lamp will illuminate, creating a beautifully unique source of light. The bird can be "booped" again to transform through the different color modes.
The pastel accent feathers were meticulously chosen to compliment the main three luminous shades of the lamp.
Concept Sketch
Here are some pictures that display several stages of the prototyping process including a creating a foamcore model, programming the LEDs with Arduino, and overall fabrication.
